La Planada was a delightful surprise that balanced comfort and value beautifully. Set in the picturesque Andorra, the hotel offers ample space with large rooms, complete with a bathtub and a balcony-something modern hotels often neglect. While the décor might not scream luxury, the practicality of the space speaks volumes, especially for a nature lover like me. The breakfast was substantial, enough to fuel a day of hiking, although it could have featured a bit more variety, especially fresh fruits and vegetables. The staff were welcoming and eager to accommodate dietary preferences, even going off-menu for lunch. Plus, the convenience of public buses to Sorteny National Park every 30 minutes nailed it for outdoor adventures. For those considering their budget, this hotel offers exceptional value outside of ski season. You get a clean environment, a lovely outdoor pool, and basic amenities without the hefty price tag. As a conservationist, I appreciate when a stay allows you to experience the surrounding beauty without overspending. I'll be back for another hiking holiday-La Planada is definitely on my revisit list!
